Sep 4 - Neil Donnelly
Neil is an excellent singer, guitarist, magician and stand-up comedian and has performed extensively in Las Vegas and on cruise ships. I first heard Neil sing ‘How Great Thou Art’ at a funeral and he sounded like Elvis - after talking to Neil I found that he also does Elvis impersonations and sings multiple genres of music. Then he blew me away with several magic tricks - this will be a fun night you don’t want to miss.

Mike is another of our multi-talented regulars - He had the best repertoire of old country favorites that we’ve had on our stage and he’s also an accomplished Southern Gospel singer. For this concert he will present a mixture of gospel and country, mixed rapid-fire banter and clean jokes. You’ll be amazed at how many songs he has stored in his memory banks. Oct 16 - Thomas Brennan
Tommy Brennan, has a powerful music and humor ministry called Amusing Grace (a/k/a by other neat names such as Parodies, Puns, and Prayers) that is unique, evangelistic, and God-centered, in a Christ-focused way. Tommy says “A merry heart ABSOLUTELY doeth good like a medicine, and I'd love to 'bring some of that medicine' to your event with me! My gifting is in Christian impersonation humor and "parodies". My goal is to engage, delight and encourage the believer and give the non-believer something they can relate to "from the world" to lead them towards Christ. Musically, I do dozens of truly powerful Christianized songs in the original artist's voice (folks like "Rev. Willie Nelson, Evangelist Elvis, the Reverend Johnny Cash, Sanctified Frank Sinatra, Pastor Tom Jones, Worshipping Bobby Darin, Willin' Bob Dylan", as just a few examples), and cover a very wide style of music (a lot of Country, Broadway, Rat Pack, Rap, Rock etc.). My Darin, Elvis, Willie, Frank, Johnny Cash rewrites are particularly awesome Christian songs, with vocals and presentation are strong, but words for so many of these songs that are both biblically-based and off-the-charts powerful - definitely better than the original words! Around the songs, I blend in impression based humor (e.g., what would Bogie, Shrek, Rodney Dangerfield, the Honeymooners, Ross Perot, Gomer Pyle, Forrest Gump, Father Guido, and others sound like if they were FLAT OUT on fire for the Lord?) It's all biblically-based, clean, evangelistic and God-focused. Simply put, folks who love Christ love it!“

Blake writes” I look forward to playing at sacred grounds! My music is about people and their relationship with our Creator. God loves us so much and wants to be a part of our daily routine and lives! All of the songs that I wrote on the “Unreachable” were God inspired and pulled right out of the Bible. I am giving back to Him what He has so freely given to me! The gift of music!!

Jan 29 -- Wildflower
Wildflower is a new trio consisting of Don Smith (our longest continuously running performer here at Sacred Grounds), Dan Heimsoth and Ceil Chappell. Dan and Ceil formed Wildflower nearly two years ago and spent much of that time looking for just the right instrumentalist/singer to round out their sound. They met Don in early summer, played a little music with him, and VOILA -- a trio was born! Wildflower's music is a mix of both old and new folk/country. Performing on guitar, banjo and mandolin, they cover the music of such artists as The Carter Family, Dolly Parton, John Prine, Emmylou Harris, Gordon Lightfoot, Tom Paxton, and Johnny & June Cash. In addition, Dan is an extraordinarily talented songwriter and has contributed a number of wonderful original tunes to their repertoire. We're honored that Wildflower has chosen Sacred Grounds for their debut performance, so please mark your calendar and plan to come out for the first appearance of what will undoubtedly be many more to come.
